Between October 2025 to March 2026, we delivered over 500 ESOL sessions to 45 refugees and migrants. This was part of the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, in collaboration with Dudley Council.
During this time, students gained vital language skills to help them progress, boosting their education, their well-being and their inclusion. It was great to see friendships forming and the local community coming together.
75% of Learners gained a qualification, 60% reported increased employability, 70% reported reduced barriers, 80% said that their happiness and wellbeing increased as a result of their learning

Mai said "My name is Mai. I study in class, I'm learning to speaking, writing...I am very happy and feeling very good. Thank for everything"
Mai improved her speaking, writing, listening and reading this term and she keeps going from strength to strength; progressing with her pronunciation and growing in confidence
She can now read short texts independently and recognise more everyday vocabulary. She has also improved in her writing which is clearer and more organised. She is working on using the correct sentence structure and improving her spelling.
Mai is hoping to improve on her English and looking forward to starting work in the future.
