Flexible working and the law. In order to apply for flexible working you must be working for the company for 26 weeks. The application must be written and dated with information about what changes is required.
Taking time off for dependents. When your child becomes ill and can’t attend school you are allowed off either paid or unpaid to sort it out. This time of allows you time to arrange childcare for the following day. While employers are not obligated to give you any more time off, you can negotiate by using holiday leave or further unpaid leave.
What is Work
Work is a means to an end, it gives us money to provide necessities and hopefully some luxuries. It can also give a sense of purpose and identity.
