Celebrating 20 years of the Black Country Foodbank

The Dudley Caribbean and Friends Association (DCFA) Befriending Service is proud to support Black Country Foodbank as it celebrates 20 years of helping local people in crisis. Black Country Foodbank was established in 2006 and continues to provide emergency food and essential support to vulnerable individuals and families across the region.

As part of this partnership, DCFA members will begin each session with repetitive chair-based exercises, promoting mobility, wellbeing, and social connection before taking part in community activities. Chair-based exercise is already an important part of the DCFA Befriending Service, helping older adults stay active and engaged.

Together, DCFA and Black Country Foodbank are committed to strengthening community ties, reducing isolation, and supporting the health and wellbeing of local residents.
