Reconnect offer free telephone friendship services so you can enjoy chatting with someone over the phone, all from the comfort of your own home.

Whether you’d like to speak to someone every week, or just want to talk when the need strikes, Reconnect volunteers are here to help.

In addition to our telephone friendship service Reconnect can offer Face-to-face befriending that may involve a volunteer visiting an older person in their home, perhaps for a cup of tea and a chat, or accompanying them to an activity (such as a trip to a cafe or a doctor's appointment).

If you would like some support or if you know of someone who would benefit from the support we offer please contact us on the number below.

When I came [To Befriending] I had not long lost my partner and the house, I felt less than useless. Befriending has opened up my friendship group and since becoming a Befriender, I have taken part in First aid and safeguarding courses.

I had a stroke 10 years ago; I spent 6 weeks in hospital. At home I felt isolated. Since coming to Befriending, I have made lots of friends. Befriending keeps me motivated.

Befriending helped me get a Chromebook which helped me a lot and allowed me to access online courses. I was helped to attend Befriending which helps me socialise with other people. I learned a lot from a recent talk on Dementia. Befriending is doing a good job at helping me and others.

Thank you to our Funders!

The DCFA Befriending Service is deeply grateful for the generous support we have received from Neighbourly UK and Black Country Foodbank through the provision of surplus food. This contribution has significantly enhanced our capacity to assist individuals and families in our community, especially during these challenging times.

The surplus food provided by Neighbourly UK has been instrumental in alleviating food insecurity and bringing hope and comfort to many. Your generosity makes a positive and meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve, and we truly appreciate your partnership.

We are honored to be the recipients of Neighbourly UK's support and look forward to continuing our collaboration to uplift and support those in need. Your kindness and commitment to helping others inspire us, and we are thankful for your ongoing support.

Thank you, Neighbourly UK, for your invaluable contribution to our community.
